Most of the time the reason is probably because of peer preasure. Everybody around them are probably talking about it so they feel in order to be accepted by their peers they have to do whats "cool".
why are teens so anxious to have sex , why can't they wait until marriage?

i agree with trez'Jah when she says that its probably because of peer pressure but i also think most teens are dependent on other people their own age and trust their "friends" when they "hear" that they may do certain things for them. (theyll be their for them).. when it comes to relationships their is usually peer pressure most of the time from guys. it all starts with 1 person and describing how things go. they try to be more than what they are just to impress others.
I think a lot of kids these days are lacking love at home and are, therefore, needing someone to find that will fill in that empty void. For example, my friend lives with her mom and half sister. She loves her mom, but doesn't really know how to talk to her about life, and now she has lost virginity to a kid she hardly knows. I know that it's an immature choice, especially with all the diseases now, but I personally believe it's a choice that has to do with a home life. This is not always the case, though. I think other kids do it to look cool and to be able to brag about it. Plus everything we consume these days is packed with hormones, so we do get stronger urges to get intimate and have sexual intercourse.
I think teens are curious.They see what people say on tv and in the magizines.They think its ok but they dont know the consequences of what might happen,but sometimes its a influence of what there friends are doing so they think its ok.

MOSTLY BECAUSE OF PEER PRESSURE & BECUHZ KIDS LIKE TRYING THINGS THAT OTHER KIDS DOING IT SO THEY WANT TO FEEL WHAT IT WUD FEEL LIKE & HOW ITS LIKE. OR THEY ARE JUST TRYING TO BE COOL
